When we design a backyard space we incorporate elements into the design that will draw our clients outdoors enticing them to spend more time in the space. For this Miami shores project we decided to create an informal path using black aluminum metal edging as a border to contain the gray gravel and flagstone. This path connected the front gate to the backyard pool area so if the clients decide to entertain this would be a great way to guide their guest to the pool area. Creating a landing pad for the barbecue from the flagstone was also another way to get our client to enjoy their backyard. Landscape lighting was also added. The path and up-lighting not only enhance the nighttime curb appeal of the home but also let our clients enjoy their backyard landscape at night time.
